The Finnish Game Jam is divided to three jam sites featured below.
Manse Game Jam
Location: Tampere, Demola
Attending fee: regular 30 eur / student 15 eur

The Manse Game Jam is held at Demola, the innovation center that connects the most active students and companies all around Tampere and as such there isn’t a more suitable place to jam! The Demola facilities are right in the heart of Finlayson area and there are excellent public services nearby (including public transit and shops). Manse Game Jam will offer catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during the whole event so you can concentrate on having fun jamming!
The Manse Game Jam is organized by GaIn research project (University of Tampere) in collaboration with game development club Score. The facilities are provided by Demola.
This year the Tampere site will also investigate research questions about game development. Please feel free to participate to the research. It’s aim is to discover game specific design thinking and creativity.
Helsinki Game Jam

The Helsinki Game Jam is organized by the media factory of the brand new Aalto University. This exciting event will take place in Helsinki thanks to the Center of Knowledge and Innovation Research (CKIR, www.hse.fi/EN/ckir) and the Lume mediakeskus (www.lume.fi).
Registration will take place in person in room Marilyn on Friday 29th between 16h and 17h. Registration is mandatory for participation. Game development will start in room Ylälämpiö at 22h. Registration on the Global Game Jam website is also necessary before participants can upload or claim credit for a game – this is a fast, simple process explained here.
This year the Helsinki site will also investigate research questions about game development. Please feel free to participate to the research. Its aim is to discover emotional and motivational factors that influence game development and team construction / interactions.

Kajaani Game Jam
Location: KAJAK
Attending fee: regular 30 eur / student 15 eur
The Kajaani Game Jame is organized by the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences at Kajak Game Developmen Lab and it is aimed for the game developer students and staff of the university.
